Vegan Bodybuilding

I'm always asked how do you find the time to exercise so much? Well it's top of my priorities to do in a day, it's part of my routine. It's 4% of my day so I always make it happen. I'm here to help you to start today!! It can be quite daunting the very first time you enter a gym, you will see a lot of machines and other people training too which can be intimidating. However there in the zone focusing of their next sets and not on you walking past.

Your next question may be... "What should I train, how do I train a specific muscle group, use that piece of equipment or is this safe"?

You could also train at home if you wish and buy yourself a set of dumbbells and a bar bell. I’m here to guide you with any questions you may have on getting started on a new you.

You don’t need to learn every exercise or every muscle straight away. You can get a great workout with just a few easy exercises.

You can get fitter and stronger without spending hours in a gym. There's more and more people who are now starting to appreciate the importance of staying fit and healthy. Weight training is what I enjoy the most, so many people especially women shy away from weights because they think it makes you big and bulky. Weight training is so beneficial for men, women young and old. It makes you fitter, leaner, and stronger. It encourages your body to burn more calories and can increase your bone density too, this helps to protect you from osteoporosis as you get older.

Nutrition:

Before you begin a bodybuilding program we need to stick to the basics of a good nutritional plan. I will list a few important things to consider as well as an example training program to follow as you embark on a successful bodybuilding journey. Nutrition is a vital starting point of being a body builder. You will need to consume protein, carbs and fats with every meal, and eat every 2-3 hours which will be 6 meals a day. You will also need to consume at least 1-2 litres of water a day. You can also use supplements to accompany your diet.

Training:

The next step to building muscle and gaining the physique you require is training. I can help you balance your sessions over the week to ensure you cover all muscle groups including some time for each to recover and develop. Have a written program and stick to it is my best advice to ensure that you work all areas evenly. Workouts ideally should be between 45-65 minutes with a 5minute warm-up and cool down. However with our, at times incredibly busy lifestyle, sometimes we have to modify this. I have many strategies to overcome this issue. Just ask! "Train hard, focus on the muscle group you are working and maintain correct form with each and every rep you perform."
Lifestyle:

If you want to be a bodybuilder or look like one then you have to live the body builder lifestyle. This means you have to spend your time on preparing all your meals, weighing them out so you get the right amount of carbs, fats and protein in your diet. Drinking 1 1/2 litres of water a day minimum. You will need to have 7/8 hours sleep a night to give yourself enough time for rest and recover. You need to be motivated, self-driven, dedicated and goal orientated. Just know that it takes hard work and commitment to achieve your goals. But from my experience it’s worth it when you see your results and how far you have come. You will be proud of yourself for getting started.

Competing:

If your thinking about competing then I can help you with your posing, tanning, hair and makeup, bikini, costume, preparation ect. It can a scary to get up on stage but it's an exciting experience too.
